How To Moisturize Dry Skin
We all want healthy looking and feeling skin. There’s nothing worse than the feel of dry, itchy skin. Dry skin can be avoided by properly selecting and using moisturizers. If your routine has been to thow a little on when you think about it this article is for you.
There are many mositurizing products on the market from inexpensive to very expensive. You do not have to go with an expensive product to get good results. The most important thing to consider when choosing a moisturizer is to select one that is right for your skin type. There is a reason that relatively inexpensive products like Eucarin and Cetaphil have been around for years, they work.
You will need a minimum of three types of moisturizer. You need a general body moisturizer for your arms, legs and body. Moisturizers used in these areas are generally heavier and can be oil based. There are many moisturizing products that include treatments in the formula such as itch relief. Pick one that is right for your needs. This type of mositurizer should not be used on your face.
The second type that you need is a facial moisturizing cream that is specifically designed for your skin type. Fragrance in facial creams can cause allergic reactions so you might consider a fragrance free one. It is highly recommended that you use a moisturizer with at least an SPF15 all year long.
The third moisturizer you will need is one for the eye area. This area is very sensitive and you need to treat it very gently. Many eye creams inlcude treatments like green tea which can be beneficial.
There are two main tricks to effectively using moisturizing creams or any moisturizer. The first one is to apply them when your skin is damp. The second one is to establish a daily routine. You will be surprised by the difference in your skin once you make a commitment to daily use.
